RE-ADVERTISED JOB OPPORTUNITY
The Dar Rapid Transit (DART) Agency was established under the Prime Minister’s
Office, Regional Administration and Local Government (PMO- RALG) by Establishment
Order issued through Government Notice Number 120 of 25th May 2007 made under
the Executive Agencies Act Number 30 of 1997 as amended from time to time. The
Agency was officially launched on 16th June,2008. In accordance to the Establishment
Order, the three major objectives of the Agency are to establish and to operate Bus
Rapid Transit (BRT) system in the City of Dar es Salaam, ensure orderly flow of traffic
on urban streets and roads; and ensure effective management of the Agency.
Dar Rapid Transit (DART) Agency invites application from qualified Tanzania to fill the
one-year renewable contract for: -
01. PLUMBING TECHNICIAN II (ONE POST)
1.1 Direct Entry Qualifications
Ordinary Diploma in water Resources Engineering or Technician Certificate in relevant
area from a recognized Institution.
1.2 Duties and Responsibilities.
i. To undertake specified tasks connected with Plumbing under supervision,
ii. To coordinate with DAWASA for any issues related with water problems,

iii. To inspect the BRT infrastructures (toilets and sanitary systems) to check for
defects,
iv. To conduct the sanitary installation of devices that can be done within DART,
v. To assist in the repair and maintenance of plumbing facilities,
vi. To assist senior staff in relevant field of operations; and
vii. To perform any other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Remuneration:
An attractive remuneration package will be offered to successful candidates
GENERAL CONDITIONS
i. All applicants must be Citizens of Tanzania of not more than 45 years of age;

➢ Postgraduate/Degree/Advanced Diploma/Diploma/Certificates;
➢ Postgraduate/Degree/Advanced Diploma/Diploma transcripts;
➢ Form IV and Form VI National Examination Certificates;
➢ Birth certificate.
v. Attaching copies of the following certificates is strictly not accepted
➢ Form IV and form VI results slips;
➢ Testimonials and all Partial transcripts.
vi. Applicants who have/were retired from the Public Service for whatever reason
should not apply;
vii. Applicants should indicate three reputable referees with their reliable contacts;
viii. Certificates from foreign examination bodies for Ordinary or Advanced level
education should be verified by The National Examination Council of Tanzania
(NECTA) and National Council for Technical Education (NACTE);

ix. Certificates from Foreign Universities should be verified by The Tanzania
Commission for Universities (TCU);
x. Applicants with special needs/case (disability) are supposed/advised to indicate;
