DIGITAL LEAD (1 POST)
Job purpose:
Responsible for creating and rolling out the MCL digital strategy road map by guiding the digital technical team to support digital revenue drive, audience and integrated news content creation through new products development and enhancing existing products.
Main Responsibilities:
- Work with partners and agencies for ensuring digital grows
- Create concepts in alliance with clients. Product and Editorial Teams
- Strategize for growth and maximum share of category spends on digital platform
- Providing actionable insights on ad performance using analytical tools to the sales team
- Keep up to date with trends and developments in the digital industry to gain early insights into new business opportunities
- Identify new opportunities for monetization and create integrated concepts
- Accountable for ensuring digital platforms are fit for purpose, operational and future focused, and that the customer-facing products built on these platforms provide optimal value to the business and their customers.
- Own the vision for digital product and the product backlog.
- Stakeholder management in line with business strategy
- Working on multiple projects and the analysis once signed off projects go live
- Be the evangelist for the internal products within the business, acting as a bridge between development and editorial, as well as educating stakeholders on the use of the tools being developed
- Managing relationships with external and internal stakeholders
- Bringing solutions to market in an Agile environment
- Work closely with marketing team to develop effective brand/ tactical communication and align the same to achieve advertising & distribution digital goals

» Experience : 10+ years: minimum 5+ years in digital; relevant experience with a media/content company

PROCUREMENT OFFICER (1 POST)

The incumbent is tasked with the responsibility of assisting with timely procurement of quality goods and services that are competitively priced from MCL approved suppliers both locally and globally, as per the company’s business requirements.

The incumbent is tasked with the responsibility of assisting with timely procurement of quality goods and services that are competitively priced from MCL approved suppliers both locally and globally, as per the company’s business requirements.
Main Responsibilities:
- Receives, reviews and approves IPRs within authority limits.
- Gets approval from Section Managers and MD for IPRs above authority.
- Prepare annual procurement plan and monitor its execution.
- Coordinate purchases for major expenditure through tender board.
- Negotiate commercial terms with suppliers.
- Ensures that IPRs are promptly issued for goods and services and LPO/PPOs are approved.
- Follow up and ensures that goods and services ordered are actually delivered as per specifications.
- Monitor consumption, stock and re-order level.
- Ensure that all returns, printed waste, miscellaneous disposable assets and materials are sold in accordance with the approved procedure.
- Liaise with user departments to ensure that all office utilities are readily available and cost effectively used.
- Monitors all insurance matters to ensure adequate cover, settlement of claims and update records.
- Perform annual supplier’s evaluation and communicate feedback for improvements.
- Manage supplier relationship.
- Academic : Basic University Degree in Procurement and Supplies from Reputable Institution.
- Professional : Accredited certification of Procurement.
- Experience : 3 – 5 years’ work experience in a similar role in a reputable organization.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills:
- High degree of integrity and honesty;
- Knowledge of SAP Materials Management module will be an added advantage.
