We are recruiting a Head of Operations.
Purpose of the Role
Purpose of the Role
To ensure a smooth work flow of our day-to-day operations of drivers and
airport operations by successfully leading and managing our Operations
and Transport team.
The Role
Key work areas include, but are not limited to:
• Planning & Booking Management (ensure daily transfers, coordinate drivers)
• Managing our Operations staff (team of drivers, transport managers, fuel controllers)
• Managing our fleet (maintenance, repairs, record-keeping)
• Being the Key contact for international clients for operational matters
• Assistance with Groups & VIP
• Site Supervision
Required Experience & Skills
• International Tourism Degree, Masters or similar
• 10 years of successfully leading and managing a team
• 5-8 years of work experience in Operations, preferable in the travel industry
• Fluent in English, written and verbally (any additional European language beneficial)
• Strong skills in Reservation systems and Microsoft Office
• Team Player
• Self-driven, passionate & dedicated to get things done
• Pragmatic thinker with orientation to detail
• Ability to live on an island in Africa
• Work experience in Africa preferred

- Assess markets’ needs and present suitable products for bulk procurement including monitoring and analyzing data and market conditions to identify competitive advantage.
- In charge of procurement from suppliers including communication with manufacturers and suppliers abroad.
- Responsible for developing, building, and strengthening long-term relationships with stakeholders including distributors and healthcare professionals.
- Keep accurate records of stock and documentation for reporting and feedback.
- Highly motivated and proven track record and work experience as a pharmaceutical rep or in medical sales and bulk procurement.
- Familiarity with databases, statistics, product lines and latest medical issues.
- Knowledge of MS Office
- Excellent communication, negotiation and sales skills.
- Independent, Proactive with Strong organizational and Time management skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years sales experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Previous experience in tender sales will be advantageous.
