Air Tanzania Company Limited (ATCL) is in the process of revamping its operations and has introduced new equipment to its fleet as part of the implementation of its five years Corporate Strategic Plan (2017/2018- 2020-2021). In line with this expansion, the Company is also making some reforms in its structure, internal operations and staffing to accommodate the needs of its business expansion. Therefore, applications are invited from qualified Tanzanians to fill the following positions:-CLERKS OF WORKS (ENGINEER) (1 POST)
Entry Qualifications
The following are qualifications for aspired candidates:-Must have a Bachelor Degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Telecommunication Engineering
- Should be a Registered Services Engineer who has in the last ten years been involved in new construction projects of which five years are in rehabilitation or renovation project works.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Handing over site to Contractor including drafting site handing over meeting minutes for submission to all contract parties;
- Evaluate Contractor’s payment and performance guarantees and submit the report to client;
- Conduct Regular site Inspection and Issue Instructions to Contractor in relation to regulatory bodies compliances without deviating to the original contract between contractor and employer/client;
- Coordinate and hold site meetings including preparing progress reports and submit the same to client/employer;
- Evaluate all materials quality tests reports and samples and submit reports to client/ employer;
- Assess installed equipment’s and services systems functionality and report to client/ employer;
- Value actual executed works, certify payments and advise a client for payment purpose,
- Preparation of Bill of Quantities
- Monitor working plan submitted by the contractor as per contractual time frame;

- Diagnose, resolve, and document hardware and software network problems in a timely and accurate manner, and provide end user training and support where required;

- To manage aviation communication protocols.
- To develop network standards and procedures.
- The configuration of Network Access Rights based on company ICT and Security Policy
- The configuration of network services, setting up laptops/ desktops, and updating company phone directorate
- Interact with internal and external clients to resolve escalated help desk issues;

Duties and Responsibilities
- Install, configure, operate, upgrade and maintain assigned server systems hardware, software and infrastructure on MS Windows, Linux and Unix Server platforms; remote administration, train and support end users;
- Perform maintenance activities, system backups, restoration, and/or retention of systems, software, and data;
- Administrate servers, security systems, databases, business applications, tools, and manage user accounts;
- Prepare technical and user documentations;
- Troubleshoot, document and communicate computer systems related problems, solutions and the implementation process;
- Provide appropriate infrastructure technology solution to support ATCL operations;

POSITION: MANAGER REVENUE MANAGEMENT & NETWORK PLANNING

Job Summary:
The candidate will be responsible for development and implementation of ATCL’s medium to long term network growth strategy into new and existing markets that maximizes network profitability and delivers value to ATCL’s customer; to develop and implement a long term strategic fleet plan that is consistent with ATCL’s network development plan and lead the revenue teams in formulating, implementing and controlling – Pricing, Inventory and Support strategies in order to deliver Company Revenue, RASK, Yield and passenger targets. Hence, the holder of the position will be responsible for the following specific responsibilities:-- Develop & drive an optimal network strategy to ensure sustained growth & profitability.
- To develop & recommend a viable/optimal fleet plan to
- meet ATCL network requirements.
- Directs the development and implementation of Revenue management strategies to deliver the Company’s business plan.
- Monitor and control all pricing and inventory management strategies to deliver expected yield, revenue, passenger targets while remaining competitive
- Initiate market and industry analysis in order to identify and recommend new business opportunities.
- Drive the development and production of routine reports that achieve efficient assessment of Commercial performance
- (Key Commercial Indicators, Historical/forecast Load factors, etc)
- Evaluate and recommend appropriate Revenue Management systems to enhance productivity, efficiency and maximization of revenue.
- Design and drive the alliance and partnership strategy to enhance ATCL network and market coverage. (SPA’s, Code shares, Commercial Agreements/Partnerships)
- Lead and direct implementation of feasible schedules that ensure maximum aircraft utilization, operational integrity and profitable assignment of fleet.
- Manage ATCL’s slot portfolio and secure new slots for coordinated airports
- Utilises interdepartmental relationships to ensure that ATCL’s Network Plans are implemented with full support of the Company’s stake holders
- Lead, motivate, train and support the team for high productivity and efficiency and
- Develop and monitor expenditure budget/actual and control costs
