Position: Credit Assessment Officer (CAO)

What this job is about
The CAO is responsible to assess customer ability and willingness to pay
back the loan amount for the given SHS at initial stages before giving
out the SHS’s and to ensure completeness of Customer information in the
database.
Your tasks
Assessment of customer financial and personal details about their
ability to repay back the acquired loan, using the NUM assessment tool.
Providing feedback to customer on Assessment score.
Support the CF team on the collection of customers’ accurate information
i.e. correctnames, phone numbers and location and filling this
information in the customers’ page in the database.
Report any issue that affects the Assessment methodology; in terms of data collection issues.
Cope with new Assessment Methodology/any changes within an assessment
procedure which can happen at any time within Customer Finance
Department.
Your Qualifications
Diploma in Project Managements, Economics and Business Administration., Banking in Micro finance. Degree is an added advantage.
Previous experience in a business dealing with loans is a plus
Experience - Customer finances and loan assessment from reputable micro-finance related institutions.
Behavioral - flexible, eagerness to learn, problem solving, team player, creativity, etc.
Computer literacy, particularly good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Self-starter with a passion for Mobisol and its mission to plug in the world
Fluency in the CO language and English

Position: Loan Recovery Officer

What this job is about
The Loan Recovery Officer’s responsibility is to deal with all customers that are behind on their loan in a timely and professional manner.
Your tasks
Making precautionary calls to customers related to account issues or payments due
Documentation of all loan recovery calls appropriately in the loan workout cases-comment
explaining the situation, next action and date for next action correctly defined
Escalation of all difficult cases to the Area Managers
Working independently on defined tasks and smaller projects identified jointly with the Head of CF
or Team Leader, to help realize the department's objective.
Proving commercial and financial awareness in completing assigned tasks
Completing assigned tasks in line with applicable policies, guidelines, processes and procedure
Contributing ideas for the Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) of the department, especially where directly applicable to assigned tasks
Seeking opportunities to learn and develop within Mobisol and through training
Your Qualifications
Degree in Finance, Accounting, Microfinance, Economics or similar.
Experience in loan management or repayment follow up, e.g. as Loan Officer
Good understanding of loan accounts
Previous experience in a business dealing with loans is a plus
Experience in customer relationship management
Team player
Computer literacy, particularly good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Self-starter with a passion for Mobisol and its mission to plug in the world
