Overview
The Ariel Glaser Pediatric AIDS Healthcare Initiative (AGPAHI) is a
non–governmental organisation that plays a pivotal role in complementing
the Government of Tanzania’s efforts towards the attainment of its
development goals. AGPAHI strives to provide quality and integrated
HIV/AIDS health services to children and families. AGPAHI supports the
provision of high-quality HIV and other health services and ensures that
efforts are well-integrated into existing regional and district health
systems.
AGPAHI is implementing various projects that are highly demanding and
thus the organization is looking for a motivated, result driven,
qualified and competent staff to fill the following positions below:
Job Title: Senior Program Officer, Clinical Services (2 Posts)
Location: Mwanza
Reporting to: Regional Program Coordinator
Purpose of the post
The purpose of this job is to assist the RPC in supervisory role and
to offer technical assistance to the Program officers, regions and
councils to provide quality integrated HIV and AIDS care and treatment
services to the affected patients and their families. Further, this role
is responsible for ensuring the implementation of the clinical services
activities at sub-grantee level in line with the work plans set and
agreed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine or Social Sciences from a recognised
institution, preferably with strong Knowledge in HIV and background in
public health. MPH or equivalent will be an added advantage
Three (5) years of relevant work experience
Knowledge of the current clinical services guidelines, standards, tools and best practices;
Knowledge of national guidelines on HIV/AIDS;
Previous experience working with international and local partners;

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Sciences or Advanced Diploma in IT
Experience with PEPFAR 3.0 funded projects in Tanzania
Technical understanding of PEPFAR 3.0 and USAID indicators and managing for performance
Computer literacy, with comfortable working experience with the basic Microsoft packages (outlook, internet, word, excel & power point)
At least (3) three years’ experience in data management or database administration
Direct Reports to: Human Resources and Administration Officer
Qualifications, Skills and ability
University/college degree or Diploma on Human Resources Management or any other related field is required
At least 1 Year work experience in Human Resources profession
Must be adept at problem-solving, including being able to identify issues and resolve programs in a timely manner
Must possess strong interpersonal skills
Must be able to communicate clearly, both written and orally, as to communicate with employees, members of the HR management team, and in group presentations and meetings
Must be dependable, able to follow instructions, respond to management direction, and must be able to improve performance through management feedback
Qualifications, Skills and ability
Degree in Medical related field Preference will be given to the following;
Minimum (3)three years’ experience in HIV/AIDS Care and Treatment programs
Experience in Pediatric HIV/AIDS programs
Clinical experience of Pediatric HIV and AIDS management
Medical Doctor, with experience in Pediatrics, preferably with strong Knowledge in HIV and background in public health. MPH or equivalent will be an added advantage.
At least (5)five years of work experience in the area of HIV/AIDS,
Proven knowledge on Pediatric HIV/AIDS prevention, care and treatment.
Knowledge of the Tanzania health system and structures, preferably experience working with Tanzania MOHCDGEC.
Excellent planning, organizing, and report writing skills
Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate with different stakeholders at all levels
Team leadership and good interpersonal skills

Experience in providing HIV care and treatment services.
Minimum of (3) three years of clinical experience required with 2 years working experience in HIV/AIDS care and treatment
Excellent knowledge of national and World Health Organization and
MOHSW guidelines on HIV care and treatment
Computer literacy is necessary and the applicant should be comfortable working with the basic Microsoft packages (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
