to break down barriers to high-quality health care for the world’s most
vulnerable populations.
Jhpiego, implementing a number of projects in
Tanzania, wishes to recruit the following positions below, available for
immediate filling:
Position: ART Outreach Coordinator [One position oversees Morogoro, Dodoma and Iringa]
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experiences:
Medical or Nursing degree required, with additional post-graduate training in public health desirable
At least 5 years demonstrated experience working in one or more areas of
biomedical HIV prevention including: HIV care and treatment (required),
HIV Testing Services, TB and TB/HIV, PMTCT, and Community Based HIV
Services
Proven supervision and leadership skills, as well as skills in training, facilitation, team building and coordination
Strong leadership and technical capacity to support service delivery, especially at the community level
Excellent grasp of clinical issues and current literature HIV/AIDS, family planning, TB and STIs
Strong change management, results-oriented and decision-making skills
Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills in English and Kiswahili.
Experience in KVP or related programs
Experience in planning, developing, implementing and evaluating HIV public health programs
Experience working in the Tanzanian public health sector highly
desirable particularly in areas of HTC, HIV care and treatment, family
planning, and TB.
Experience working with USG programs is highly desirable
Experience and understanding of the PEPFAR framework is desirable
Ability to travel in and out of the region for up to 70%
Position: Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision Nurse Provider [Two positions oversees Morogoro, Singida, Njombe, Tabora and Iringa
Qualifications and Requirements:
Diploma in Nursing required (Degree preferred)
Valid registration with the Tanzania Nursing and Midwifery Council
Minimum of 4 years relevant experience
Experience in HIV counseling
Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, organizational and communication skills, with ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively in a demanding environment
Excellent interpersonal skills
Computer Skills, including MS Office Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Willingness to travel frequently to various areas in Tanzania
Position: Nurse/Clinician [63 positions]
Locations: Arusha, Iringa, Dar es Salaam, Moshi, Mbeya, Shinyanga, Tabora, Njombe, Dodoma and Morogoro
Required Qualifications:
Must be a licensed nurse, nurse/midwife or clinical officer in good standing.
Experience working with populations at high risk for HIV, conducting outreach testing, and/or in provider initiated counseling and testing, and family planning services, desirable.
Must be willing to be based in assigned region with extensive (weekly) travel. Must be willing to work off and unusual hours. Travel up to 80% of the time.
Must be physically fit to assist with set up and break down of services in sites.
Must demonstrate self-management (i.e. motivation, dealing with pressure, adaptability)
Must be highly flexible to accept dual roles and extra tasks as assigned by the site coordinator.
Additional experience with ART, community counselling, mobile HTS, Family planning and GBV is desirable.

Position: Regional Coordinator [One position based in Mwanza]
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Social Sciences or related field. Post-graduate training is an advantage.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience in implementing Reproductive Health/Family Planning (RH/FP) and or AYSRH programs
Experience working with Donor / private-sector funded programs
Field orientation and experience in Reproductive Health / Family Planning programming.
Proven experience working with MOH and government’s staff and systems, particularly in area
Reproductive Health / Family Planning.
Demonstrated technical and programmatic understanding of national RH/FP / AYSRH issues and policies
Good understanding of RH/ FP/ and Health related issues, with a district focus is necessary.
Experience working in a busy office within the private sector especially with an international organization
Computer skills including demonstrated hands on-experience with MS Word, MS Power Point, and MS Excel.
Proficiency in both written and spoken English
Position: Biomedical Advisor [Two positions based in Dar ES Salaam]
Qualifications
Medical degree (doctor or nursing) required, with additional post-graduate training in public health desirable
At least 8 years demonstrated experience working in one or more areas of biomedical HIV prevention including: HIV care and treatment (required), HIV counseling and testing services, PMTCT, home-based care, and/or voluntary medical male circumcision.
Position: Commodities & Logistics Management Technical Advisor [One position based in Dar ES Salaam]
Job requirements:
A bachelor degree in Procurement, logistics and supply chain management coupled EITHER a diploma in nursing, laboratory technology Pharmacy OR work experience of two (2) years in one of these fields.
At least five (5) years of experience in project management, supervisory duties or equivalent experience
At least three (3) years’ experience in logistics/supply chain management and/or public health commodities management, especially HIV testing and family planning commodities;
Experience in Inventory and Asset Management
Proficiency in common computer packages (e.g. Word, Excel, Power Point) relevant to the work and eagerness and ability to learn Forecasting and Supply planning software (Pipeline, Lab Tool)
Excelent report writing skills and high level of computer literacy with strong communication skills (verbal and written)
Ability to handle a variety of different assignments sometimes under pressure of deadlines.
Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to advocate and bring about consensus with senior government officials and numerous stakeholders;
Previous experience working with USG funded programs, development agencies, URT and local implementing partners
Ability to work in a complex environment with multiple tasks, short deadlines and intense pressure to perform.
Excelent written and oral communication and presentation skills in English and Kiswahili.

Position: Specialist Driver for Mobile Clinic Unit – Heavy Duty Vehicle [One position based in Morogoro]
Qualifications:
Secondary school education. Ability to speak, read and write English. (with results certificate)
Must possess clean valid Tanzanian driver’s license – Class C plain including other classes.
Must have attended a special course of driving big buses including PCV and Defensive or Advanced Driving Certificate from National Institute of Transport (NIT)
At least 10 years of driving big buses or mobile clinic units and relevant work experience, preferably with an international organization
Pleasant personality and willing to follows and implement instructions.
Requires a self-starter who does not need a lot of active supervision or detailed instructions in order to perform his/her regular duties.
The Driver must be able to handle variety of different assignments, sometimes under pressure of deadlines.
Willingness to work long hours and to be ready for travelling to different upcountry Regions in Tanzania as per instruction from the Supervisor
He/she must be cooperative, hardworking with adaptability, as is the ability to project a professional and consistent image.
Both internal and external clients must see the Driver as a person of competence, high integrity, capable and dependable.
Be a resident of the location in Morogoro Region where the driver position is based.
