Title Consultant- Hydrologist

Project Description:
Working in accordance with the overall directives of the Head of Sub office and under the direct supervision of the IOM Construction Engineer the incumbent will be responsible and accountable to exploration of borehole survey and drilling at Makere Resettlement Processing Centre, Kasulu district in Kigoma region. The main responsibilities of the specialist will include but not limited to following activities;

The main responsibilities of the specialist will include but not limited to following activities;
Duties and Responsibilities
The Hydrologist will be responsible for supervision of borehole exploration, testing and documentation of the final report of the borehole.
• To conduct a borehole survey inside the compound, locating the
potential point that can produces a minimum yield of 7.0m3/hr or
117.0LPM, supervising the drilling process and prepare the final report.
• To supervise the pumping test to obtain a yield of the well and
borehole productivity of 7.0m3/hr or more to meet the daily demand and
documentation of the weekly reports of the project.
• To perform other related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the IOM Construction Engineer/Compound Manager.
Desired Background and Experience:
The assignment calls for the following background and experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Hydrogeology.
• At least 5 years’ experience in borehole drilling field; preferably in the Humanitarian Field with testimonials from former clients.
• The Incumbent should be technically qualified with traceable background in borehole drilling field.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision. Excellent knowledge of English and Swahili. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential.
